The Creativity Toolkit
You show up for others, day after day. But sometimes you wind up feeling depleted, disconnected, and questioning whether you have anything left to give. One path back is through reconnecting with the creative, playful, joyful parts of yourself.
Creativity is a way of being in relation to yourself and others, especially for those engaged in caring work. The Creative Toolkit provides three accessible practices to help you reconnect with your creative energy and rediscover the vitality, presence, and aliveness that help us flourish.
The Creative Reconnection Journal
Somewhere along the way, you noticed you have little space for the parts of you that aren't useful to others. This is where the importance of reconnecting with yourself and your creative energy comes in.
Play and creative expression can energise you and reconnect you with yourself in ways that rest and many other self-care activities cannot. This energy is a fundamental part of leading a flourishing life. And you already have the resources within you.
For seven days, The Creative Reconnection Journal offers guided prompts inspired by poetry, reflection, and psychology to help you pause, play, and remember what calls and inspires you. Each day takes just 10-15 minutes, though you're welcome to linger longer.
Permission Slips for Creatives
What if you gave yourself permission to be creative?
Permission to create without purpose. Permission to rest without earning it. Permission to be a beginner, to disappoint people, to protect your creative time, to take your art seriously or not seriously at all.
These Permission Slips for Creatives offer reminders for when guilt, self-doubt, or external expectations start to creep in. They're invitations to reconnect with what you already know is true: you are allowed to play and express yourself creatively.
You can print them and keep them together, or put them around your space as reminders. There are also some blank slips included so that you can tailor them to your own creative needs.
Embracing Creativity for a Thriving Life
A conversation with Dr Hayley D Quinn on the Welcome to Self® Podcast
When did you last do something creative just for you? Not for professional development, or to be productive. Just because it feeds something in you that's been slowly starving.
In this conversation with Dr Hayley D Quinn, I share my path from clinical psychology to poetry, and why I believe creativity is essential for those of us in the helping professions. We explore what gets in the way of people recognising their creativity, how to work with the inner critic, and what it really means to reclaim the playful parts of yourself you may have left behind.
If you've ever told yourself, "I'm not creative," or felt guilty about taking time for something that isn't useful or “productive,” then this conversation is for you.
Let's Connect
If you're feeling called to rediscover the vibrant, creative parts of yourself while honouring your dedication to helping others, I'd love to support you on that path.
Whether through The Flourishing Way program, individual coaching, speaking or organisational work, my commitment is to support you to reconnect with your authentic self and find sustainable ways to flourish.
This is the work I care most about. If it's speaking to something in you, I'd love to hear from you.
